“Improve the health of adults and
you give them back their health…
Improve the health of children and you give them their life.”
At Driscoll Children’s Hospital, we know that children come in all shapes and sizes, they aren't just small adults. That's why there is a special branch of medicine called pediatrics just for them. Our 1,700 professionals specially trained in pediatrics include doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists, child life specialists, dietitians, social workers, as well as an additional 450 volunteers - just to name a few. They plan their care with very close attention to the special needs of children of all ages, from tiny newborns to young adults.
Driscoll’s Administrative team leads these healthcare professionals and volunteers who make the day-to-day care of children possible. Their total leadership offers an extremely wide variety and depth of knowledge from across the country. Driscoll’s Administrative team consistently works in concert with our physician staff to provide leadership, innovation, customer satisfaction, and clinical expertise affecting the daily decisions to provide the very best quality health care.
In addition, Driscoll Children’s Hospital is governed by a Board of Directors composed of a diverse and representative group of community leaders who live and work throughout Driscoll’s 33 county service areas. They generously donate their time and talent to assist the hospital in carrying out its mission … offering hope and healing in an environment of trust, compassion, and care to the children of South Texas.
