Description of Service:

Fully equipped Emergency Department staffed 24 hours a day by dedicated pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive services for a broad range of conditions from simple acute pediatric problems to complex critical emergencies, including:

Acute asthma
Burns
Child abuse and neglect
Dehydration
Ingestions
Near drowning
Seizures
All minor & major injuries

Close collaboration with Transport Services, PICU, and other pediatric subspecialists.

Trauma Coordinator: Coordinates all aspects of Trauma Care to ensure the traumatized child receives the best care possible. Facilitates participation in data collection programs, including:

NEISS - National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, a program of the National Consumer Product Safety Commission.
State Trauma Registry
