DRISCOLL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

This is a community wide support group open to parents who have children currently under treatment for cancer. The group is family-oriented with parents, grandparents, caregivers, patients and siblings all welcome. The group is facilitated by a licensed social worker and a hospital chaplain. The facilitators are bi-lingual and the group welcomes both English and Spanish speaking parents. We have pizza, cookies and drinks along with separate activities for patients and their siblings. A one-time American Cancer Society service program designed to help women undergoing cancer treatment to learn to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence over their lives. ROAD TO RECOVERY- Transportation Program

BREAST CANCER Support Group

STEM CELL TRANSPLANT SUPPORT GROUP

BEYOND GRIEF

Free to the public. Support groups for children, teens and adults.

A counseling support program offered by Christus Spohn and Driscoll Children's Hospital in response to the needs of bereaved individuals.  The 6 week bereavement workshop sessions are both informative and supportive.  Please call and register in advance.

The Pastoral Services Department at Driscoll Children's Hospital works directly with patients, their families, and hospital staff providing spiritual and emotional support during hospitalization. This includes working with local clergy to meet the spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
