SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO DRISCOLL
FOR A HOLIDAY LIGHTING CEREMONY

Thursday, December 2, 2004
5:55pm
Driscoll Children's Hospital Front Lawn
3533 S. Alameda

(Corpus Christi, TX) ‘Tis the season for holiday cheer and fun. Santa Claus & Frosty the Snowman are stopping by Driscoll Children's Hospital for a check of our Holiday decorations and they are making sure we are celebrating in style. Santa Claus is coming to Driscoll Children's Hospital, Thursday, December 2nd at 5:55pm. His arrival will “rev up” the crowd. He will help CEO Rick Merrill kick off the holidays with the Annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony. A choir and marching band will help us all bring in the joyous season with the sounds of Christmas. Patients, parents and staff will witness the on-going tradition at Driscoll. Santa will then lead patients inside the Hospital’s auditorium where the festivities continue and the Christmas cheer will follow.

The Auditorium will be set up with games, face painting, and plenty of fun. The entertainment will continue with a choir and marching band. We will have story telling from the book “Bear Stays Up for Christmas”. 80 books were donated for the patients by Cerco Management and the book can be purchased at Kohl’s Department Store. Proceeds from the book come back to Driscoll Children's Hospital.

Our Engineering Department has been busy stringing up more than 900 feet of lighted rope, constructing a three story Angel that faces the Corpus Christi Bay and a taller Christmas Tree that faces Alameda Street. The flagpoles in front of the hospital are also made into a Christmas Tree of lights.
