SKEET
SHOOT TO BENEFIT Six Point Kiwanis Club presents …
(Corpus Christi, TX) Take aim! The Six Points Kiwanis Club is proud to host the 11th Annual Skeet Shoot, a benefit skeet shooting tournament. Open to beginners to advanced rifleman, the event will take place Saturday, September 1, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon at the Corpus Christi Pistol and Rifle Club. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Driscoll Children’s Hospital Cancer Camp. Last year there were over 50 participants and in excess of $11,000 was raised to send kids to camp. “The skeet shoot provides an opportunity for us to raise funds for the child cancer patients at Driscoll,” says Kevin Maraist, Six Points Kiwanis Club Fundraising Chairman. “The Cancer Camp gives these kids and a sibling the opportunity to horseback ride, swim, fish, hike, as well as learn archery, riflery, arts and crafts, drama, and music. They can even go to a summer camp dance.” Cost to participate in the skeet shoot is $50 per person (includes lunch and refreshments). After the scores are tallied, prizes will be awarded to the top contenders in 3 classes. A barbecue luncheon, live auction and raffle will immediately follow. The 11th Annual Benefit Skeet Shoot is hosted by the Six Points Kiwanis Club, and is underwritten by, among other sponsors, First Community Bank, Don Kersting, Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, Texas State Bank, Basic Industries of South Texas, Fields Nemec & Co., and General Maritime Agency. The Six Point Kiwanis Club’s mission is to improve the quality of life for needy children and families in the Coastal Bend area. For membership information, please contact Kevin Maraist at 510-2311.
