DRISCOLL APPOINTS LAURA ZAMORA
AS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

(Corpus Christi, TX) Driscoll Children's Hospital and its Governing Board are pleased to announce that Laura Zamora has been appointed as Business Development Director the Corpus Christi and surrounding area, as well as Victoria and Laredo regions. The announcement was made by Rick Merrill, C.E.O. and President.

In her new position, Zamora will be responsible for developing and fostering relationships between organizations and medical staff, referring physicians, hospitals, clinics, and companies to aid Driscoll in achieving its mission and goals of caring for more South Texas children. She will collaborate with these business sources and community partners to coordinate the development of new services and programs. In addition, Zamora will work closely with Driscoll’s administrative team to assist with strategic planning and analysis, business to business development, marketing initiatives, physician recruitment, and customer relations.

Prior to her new position, Zamora was Driscoll’s Physician Referral Coordinator for the Corpus Christi, Victoria, and Laredo regions since 2003. In addition, she was a Physician Relations Representative for Christus Spohn Health System and a Managed Care Coordinator for Princeton Medical Group.

Zamora earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Organization Development as well as Master of Arts in Administration and Management, both from the University of Incarnate Word. She also earned a Graduate Certificate of Organization Development.
