GO SPURS GO! ONCOLOGY PATIENTS ATTEND
SPURS GAME THANKS TO LOCAL BUSINESS

Driscoll Children’s Hospital
Friday, March 28, 2008 3:45 p.m

(Corpus Christi, TX) Thanks to Sam Isaacs with Rabalais I & E Constructors, five Oncology patients and parents will attend a San Antonio Spurs game this Friday. For the first time at this year’s Fiesta de los Niños, one of the Live Auction items was a special trip to a Spurs game for five patients. A van and driver, donated by The Limo Company, will meet the group at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Main Lobby of Driscoll Children’s Hospital, and will depart at 4:00 p.m. for San Antonio.

Staff from the Oncology clinic will be present to send their patients off to a once in a lifetime opportunity. “It’s wonderful that the children are given this opportunity to experience this game and not be hindered by their underlying diagnoses.  All the patients are extremely excited and can’t wait to go to the game,” says Tara Adams, Outpatient Clinical Coordinator for the Hematology and Oncology Clinic.

Fiesta de los Niños is a major annual fundraiser for Driscoll Children’s Hospital and has become one of the most successful charity events in the state of Texas.
