DRISCOLL’S RIO GRANDE VALLEY AUXILIARY UNVEILS STATUE IN MEMORY OF FOUNDING MEMBER, TIVA SANCHEZ Tuesday, April 8, 2008 • 12:00 p.m. (McAllen, TX)Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley Auxiliary will unveil a “Mother-Child” statue in honor of Natividad “Tiva” Sanchez, founding member of Driscoll’s Rio Grande Valley Auxiliary, on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Driscoll Children’s Specialty Center in McAllen at 12:00 p.m. Tiva is no stranger to the city of McAllen. Throughout her life, Tiva dedicated her time working for the City of McAllen and volunteering for various organizations in the community. In 2003, she took the initiative and met with Driscoll Children’s Hospital Administration, Auxiliary and Volunteer Services department and organized an auxilian group to support the Driscoll Children’s Specialty Center in McAllen. Tiva’s loving and giving spirit is represented in the “Mother-Child” statue, made possible through donations from Tiva’s family, friends, and fellow auxilians.
