Buckle up!!!!
Friday, May 13th
2pm – 4pm

(Corpus Christi, TX) A FREE Car Seat Check is taking place this Friday from 2pm - 4pm at Driscoll Children’s Hospital. This is a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to check their little ones car seat or booster seat. Safety is the number one priority when it comes to travel. Buckling up your child properly could make the difference in a car crash.

Throughout the year, Driscoll Children's Hospital, Injury Prevention Team and Certified Car Seat Inspectors team up and conduct free car seat checks. In many cases, 50% to 80% of the car seats checked are NOT properly installed. Many families will take to the road this summer season and this FREE CAR SEAT check will insure their child is buckled up correctly.

Certified Car Seat Inspectors will show parents how to properly install a car seat. They will explain to parents the importance of positioning a car seat, the weight & age requirements per car seat and the continued effort to move children from car seat to booster seats.

In an effort to continue this vital education to the public, State Farm Insurance has teamed up with our Injury Prevention department as a Community Partner. Both will be on hand to answer questions and educate families with valuable information to protect their child/children.
