Take a lap for a child
Saturday, October 2nd
8p.m.-9:30p.m

(Corpus Christi, TX) It’s an opportunity for every child and child at heart. 9-year-old, Carlos Rodriguez, an Oncology patient at Driscoll Children's Hospital will experience a life long dream. Thanks to the folks at Corpus Christi Motor Speedway and Beci Potter, an employee of Driscoll Children's Hospital a wish will be granted.

For the last year and a half Carlos has been battling Cancer and pulling out ahead. The battle has come with a few struggles outside of his treatment. Both of Carlos’ parents are deaf and at the time of his diagnosis lived in Mission, Texas. The family now lives here in Corpus Christi due to the ongoing treatment Carlos has had to undergo.

Now, Carlos will share his wish with his family and friends, Saturday, October 2nd. His family will be picked up in a limo and driven to Corpus Christi Motor Speedway to watch the final heat of the races at 8pm. Carlos will experience the joy of being in a race car as he takes a lap during intermission expected at 9pm. And, every race car enthusiast needs their own gear. Carlos will also get his own race suit for the special occasion. This celebration comes on the heels of Carlos’ 9th Birthday.
