MYUNG K. PARK, M.D.
JOINS DRISCOLL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

(Corpus Christi, TX) Driscoll Children's Hospital is pleased to announce Myung K. Park, MD, FAAP, FACC has joined the medical staff as a Cardiologist. The announcement was made by Rick Merrill, CEO and President of Driscoll Children's Hospital. Dr. Park is joining five other pediatric cardiologists adding to Driscoll’s a top proficient team of professionals specializing in pediatric cardiology care. Driscoll's cardiology program offers a full range of pediatric cardiac services from outpatient evaluation to the very latest and most complex inpatient cardiac diagnostic and surgical services and procedures.

Dr. Park graduated and completed a pediatric M.S. from Seoul National University, College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He completed his pediatric residency from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and followed operating as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. Dr. Park carried out his fellow in pediatric Cardiology at the University of Washington Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Prior to joining Driscoll, he worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he was a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. He has written several popular textbooks in the area of pediatric cardiology, including “How to Read Pediatric ECGs”, “Pediatric Cardiology for Practitioners”, and “The Pediatric Cardiology Handbook”, all by Mosby Publishers.

Dr. Park is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology, and he is a Graduate of the Educational Council for Foreign Medical. He is also a member of the American Society of Hypertension, American Society of Echocardiography, Society for Pediatric Research, American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Since opening its doors in 1953, Driscoll Children’s Hospital has been offering hope and healing to the children of South Texas for half a century. The facility is a 189-bed pediatric tertiary care center with pediatric board-certified specialists representing 19 medical and nine surgical specialties.
