Weigh of Life Kids!
Weigh of Life Kids! Is a nutrition and fitness program designed to help kids and their families learn about healthy eating and encourage an active lifestyle. The program provides fun and interactive classes which focus on healthy eating habits, including cooking/menu ideas, and fun fitness activities designed to increase everyday activity and exercise. This three week program targets parents with children ages 4-8.
Topics to be covered include:
- Using the Food Guide Pyramid
- Energy Balance
- Healthy Meals and Snacks
- Cooking Suggestions
- Portion Size
- Meal Planning/Restaurant Choices
Objective:
- The Weigh of Life Kids Program is designed to educate children and their families about nutrition & healthy lifestyles.
- Acquire an understanding of the food guide pyramid, including appropriate portion sizes.
- Develop good eating habits.
- Understand the relationship between fitness and the body.
- Improve fitness levels.
Program:
Thursday 4:30 - 6:00p.m.
(1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursdays Monthly)
$15 for three week program
(3 Group Classes)
