WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? Subject directories are selective and usually well-organized. Search engines are larger and more comprehensive. Metasearch engines return a small percentage of results found in multiple search engines. SEARCH HINT: To search for a phrase in most search engines, type phrase in "quotation marks."
