Premiums are semi-monthly (24 pay periods/year)
All full-time and part-time benefit eligible employees (regularly scheduled and working a minimum of 20 hours per week) are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and other Voluntary Benefits. All employees, regardless of status, are eligible to participate in the 403b plan. Medical and Dental benefits are effective on the first day of employment. All other insurance coverage is effective the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. Pre-existing conditions are not covered until employee coverage has been in effect for twelve (12) continuous months or upon receipt of "Certificate of Prior Coverage" (aka HIPPAA Certificate).

Medical Insurance:
Driscoll Children’s Hospital provides a dual-option PPO health care plan with affordable premiums. The dual health care plan allows you to best manage your medical, wellness, vision and prescription drug expenses with options available to enroll the family.
Dental Insurance:
Preventative, Basic, Major & Orthodontia Coverage. Open-access Network. Available to employee and family
Vision Plan:
Complete eye examination as well as materials needed to include frames, lenses and contact lenses. Discounts apply to lens upgrade and to laser eye surgery.
Life Insurance:
Basic Life:
One times base annual salary provided by Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D):
One times base annual salary provided by Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Supplemental Life & AD&D:
Opportunity to purchase up to six additional levels of life insurance coverage.
Dependent Life:
Spouse & children coverage available with a choice of term and universal life options.
Disability Insurance:
Short-term Disability:
Income benefits begin after 14 days of disability resulting from a non-occupational illness or injury.
Long-term Disability:
Income benefits begin after 90 days of disability resulting from an illness or injury.
Supplemental Long-term Disability:
Additional LTD insurance may be purchased to make sure you and your dependents have income while you are disabled.
Flexible Spending Programs :
Un-reimbursed Medical Reimbursement Program with Debit Card:
Allows participant to redirect a portion of your salary to provide reimbursement of un-reimbursed medical out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles, co-pay, legal drugs, eye glasses/contact lenses, etc. for employee and any dependents.
Dependent Day Care Reimbursement Program with Debit Card:
Allows participant to redirect a portion of their salary to provide reimbursement for expenses paid towards dependent day care for dependent children age 12 and under or for incapacitated dependents age 13 or over.
Retirement Savings Programs:
Tax-Sheltered 403(b) Annuity Plan:
Salary reduction contributions to the Plan are pre-taxed and are made through the convenience of automatic payroll deductions.
Employer Matching Retirement Plan:
Your 403(b) contributions are employer matched up to the first 5 percent of your compensation. Matching is on a graduated scheduled from $ .50 cents up to $1.00 matching depending on years of participation. Full vesting occurs after five years.
Driscoll Retirement Plan:
Driscoll makes a generous annual contribution to the plan based on employee’s gross annual salary. Full vesting occurs after five years.
Adoption Assistance
Eligible employees receive up to $3,000 reimbursement for qualified adoption expenses.
Tuition Reimbursement
