24TH ANNUAL CATTLEMEN’S ROUNDUP RAISES $108,449 AND COUNTING FOR THE NICU!
Young 4-H members, local barn owners, managers, ranchers and agricultural businesses combined efforts to help the kids of South Texas in the 24th annual South Texas Cattlemen’s RoundUp. A total of seven community fundraising events took place this summer throughout South Texas - all to benefit Driscoll Children’s Hospital and its young patients.
Special lunchtime auctions will be held at various auction houses during breaks from regular livestock sales action. Items up for auction will include donated livestock, as well as baked goods, jellies and vegetables. However, there have been past non-traditional auction items such as; San Antonio Spurs tickets, quilts, birdhouses, rain gauges, work gloves and signed Nolan Ryan posters. Auction items are still needed for the 2009 Cattlemen’s RoundUp dates.
