Mini Internship Program
The Mini-Internship is a two-way communication designed as an information exchange to broaden the perspectives of all participants. This program gives the hospital and our physicians valuable input from other community sectors concerned with healthcare. Through shared experiences, this project is designed to open lines of communication and expand perspectives on important health care issues - for participating physicians and intern community representative alike.
Each intern will be assigned to two physicians - from primary care, surgery, emergency medicine, and other specialties. Interns have the opportunity to spend a half-day with each physician, accompanying him or her through everything from office rounds to surgery.
The Mini-Internship opens with an orientation reception on Monday, May 12 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. This orientation will include a hospital overview and tour, and is the first opportunity for interns, physicians, and hospital representatives to get acquainted and exchange views.
The internship program takes place on Tuesday, May 13, beginning with an informal breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and concluding with a debriefing and graduation dinner at 6:30 p.m.
