Physicians enjoy Doctors’ Day luncheon at Driscoll

Driscoll Children’s Hospital celebrated Doctors’ Day with a Doctors’ Day luncheon held in the auditorium on March 29, 2018, to celebrate and honor the dedicated physicians at the hospital.

The first Doctors’ Day observance was March 30, 1933, in Winder, Ga., the anniversary of the first use of ether anesthesia in surgery. On March 30, 1842, Dr. Crawford Long used ether to anesthetize a patient to painlessly remove a tumor from his neck.
