A group of Driscoll Children’s Hospital residents have retained the coveted Jacobi Jug in the annual “Jeopardy”-style contest held in conjunction with the recent Texas Pediatric Society annual meeting in Austin.

Driscoll’s team members are co-champions this year, after winning the title in 2016. The Driscoll team tied with the team from the Baylor College of Medicine.

Members of the Driscoll team are Neha Bhadauria, MD, Jessica Heibel, MD, Michelle Saad, MD, and Mfon Umoren, MD.

“We continue to be very proud of the capabilities of our residents as they have stood out every year in the state completion and feel honored to be part of their medical education,” said Eric Baggerman, MD, Director of Medical Education at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Six pediatrics residency programs from throughout Texas participated in the competition for the jug, named after Abraham Jacobi, who opened the first children’s clinic in the United States.
