Please call Volunteer Services before donating toys or other items: (361) 694-5011
What kinds of items may I donate?
New toys, board games, video games, arts and crafts, and electronics are just some of the items our children enjoy. For more suggestions, see our Toy Wish List.
How can I donate toys or other items?
All donated items must be new. Patients may have illnesses that make them more susceptible to germs.
New items may be delivered to the Welcome Center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
The Cottage Shop accepts gently used and new donations. Click here to see what kinds of items the Cottage Shop can accept.
Are there restrictions on what can be donated?
Yes. We do not distribute items that may be perceived as violent (guns, swords, bows and arrows). Media items must have a rating suitable for all age groups (G or PG and E video games). We cannot accept latex balloons, candy or other food items. Please do not gift wrap items.
How are toys and other items delivered to patients?
Due to privacy, safety and infection control policies, gifts are distributed by volunteers. All fliers must be approved by Driscoll Children’s Hospital prior to use.
