Mixed Fruit and Spinach Smoothie

Ingredients
  • ½ cup spinach leaves, frozen
  • ½ cup blueberries, frozen
  • ½ cup blackberries, frozen
  • ½ banana
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks in juice
  • 6 oz yogurt, Greek (vanilla or other fruit flavor)
  • 1-2 oz pineapple juice or milk
To prepare
  1. Break up large pieces of spinach before placing into blender.
  2. Place the spinach, blueberries, blackberries, banana, pineapple chunks, and yogurt into a blender.
  3. Cover, and blend until smooth.
  4. Stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides.
  5. Optional: May add pineapple juice, milk or water as desired to thin smoothie to drink threw a straw.
  6. Pour into glasses and serve.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1 cup kale leaves
  • ½ pear
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 12 oz milk*
  • 1 tablespoon honey
To prepare
  1. Remove kale leaves from their rough center stalk and coarsely chop.
  2. In a blender, combine kale, spinach, and milk.
  3. Blend until no big kale bits remain.
  4. Stop blender and add banana honey and pear. Blend until smooth. Enjoy immediately.

*May substitute cow’s milk for vanilla Pediasure, soy or almond milk


Groovy Green Smoothie

Ingredients
  • 1½ cups spinach leaves
  • ½ apple, cored & chopped
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup grapes
  • 6 oz yogurt, Greek (vanilla or other fruit flavor)
To prepare
  1. Place the spinach, apple, banana, grapes, and yogurt into a blender.
  2. Cover, and blend until smooth.
  3. Stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve.
