Objetivos, la facultad se esforzará por:

  • Proporcionar exposición a problemas comunes de cirugía pediátricas / anomalías
  • Familiarizarse con cuidado pre, intra y post-operatorio de los bebés y los niños.
  • Proporcionar la oportunidad para entender cómo afecta la terapia quirúrgica al paciente pediátrico


Objetivos-al final de la rotación, el alumno será capaz de:

  • Reconocer física examen/historia coherente con las emergencias quirúrgicas común.
  • Comprender la causa post-operatoria de ciertos problemas quirúrgicos.
  • Reconocer problemas quirúrgicos electivos comunes que requieren cirugía pediátrica - consultas e intervenciones


Actividades de aprendizaje:

  • Clínica quirúrgica pediátrica/Oficina horas.
  • Asistir a rondas en piso quirúrgica
  • Presentación semanal de "caso interesante"
  • Responsabilidad paciente - 4o año estudiante llevará aproximadamente tres pacientes y funcionan como un pasante interino.

  • Biblioteca de cirugía pediátrica
  • Salas de cirugía pediátrica/Office/clínicas
  • Hospital Medical Library. Driscoll infantil
  • De Texas A & M University Corpus Christi biblioteca


Evaluación:

  • El preceptor médico, con quien ha trabajado el estudiante, debe completar (100%) el Formulario de Evaluación Clínica.
  • Evaluación del curso y la facultad requiere a la finalización de la rotación.
  • Supervisión diaria y los comentarios basados en las actividades del día
