Description of Service:


Fully equipped Emergency Department staffed 24 hours a day by dedicated pediatric specialists to provide comprehensive services for a broad range of conditions from simple acute pediatric problems to complex critical emergencies, including:
  • Acute asthma
  • Burns
  • Child abuse and neglect
  • Dehydration
  • Ingestions
  • Near drowning
  • Seizures
  • All minor & major injuries

Close collaboration with Transport Services, PICU and other pediatric subspecialists.

Trauma Coordinator:

Coordinates all aspects of Trauma Care to ensure the traumatized child receives the best care possible. Facilitates participation in data collection programs, including:
  • NEISS - National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, a program of the National Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  • State Trauma Registry
