Clara Driscoll was a patriot, a cattlewoman and a philanthropist. Driscoll Children's Hospital is Clara Driscoll's gift to South Texas.
Driscoll Children's Hospital began with 25 beds and reached a full capacity of 110 beds within a year.
In 1953, Driscoll served children from five South Texas counties, today it serves 31.
