Important Information
Patient Relations
It is the primary goal of the Patient Relations Department to proactively provide services that meet the needs of our community. Our Patient Relations Representatives visit with our patients and their families daily to ensure patient satisfaction and assist them with needs that may arise during their visit to Driscoll.
Patient and Parent Rights and Responsibilities
At Driscoll Children's Hospital, we understand that there is more involved in a child's care than just their illness. We strive to ensure that our Patient and Parent Rights and Responsibilities are met in an environment of trust, compassion, and care. We feel that concerns relayed to us from our guests will assist us in our endeavor to enhance the care given to families entering our hospital, clinics or any care area.
Patient Satisfaction
As part of our commitment to providing excellent healthcare and continuous improvement, Driscoll Children's Hospital, in partnership with NRC Picker, a surveyor company with decades of commitment to creating a patient-focused healthcare environment, measures the perceptions and opinions of inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and physician office patients. Based on patient and families recommendations from these surveys, and from Patient Relations daily rounds, we can develop new opportunities and enhance healthcare services.
Complaints and Grievances
Here at Driscoll Children's Hospital, we recognize that complaints relayed to us from our guests will assist us in our endeavor to ensure patient safety and enhance the services we provide. We are committed to providing a responsive and empathetic environment that promotes the worth and dignity of all individuals.
If you have a complaint that you would like us to help you resolve, please contact the Patient Relations Department at PatientRelations@dchstx.org or call us at (361) 694-4035. A representative will contact you soon.
