Sarah, 6-years-old, Petronila, Texas
NICU, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Pediatric Surgery
Sarah was born premature at 4 pounds 12 ounces, and immediately transferred
to Driscoll’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. During her 42-day stay,
she underwent surgery to correct gastroschesis, a condition where part of
her intestines were outside her body. Since then, she has also had numerous
surgeries to correct her severe club feet.
