En Driscoll, sabemos que el éxito de la comunicación es un requisito previo para una atención médica de calidad. Es por ello que nuestro departamento de servicios de interpretación y traducción y se compromete a facilitar la comunicación entre el LEP (manejo limitado del inglés) o pacientes con impedimentos auditivos y sus familias y su equipo de atención médica. Estos servicios se proporcionan de manera exacta, completa, profesional y confidencial para garantizar una atención de calidad y resultados de buena salud.MServicios de Interpretación, se encuentra con personal completo y listo para proporcionar la interpretación médica para cualquier familia que pueda necesitar este servicio. Con personal ampliamente capacitado como intérpretes médicos, disponible para la interpretación de 7: 00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m., de lunes a viernes, nuestras familias están recibiendo el toque especial que necesitan para hacer su estancia en nuestro hospital lo más fácil posible para ellos. Con más del 40% de nuestras familias que prefieren el español que el inglés, es fácil ver lo valiosa que es este servicio.
Todos los pacientes y familias en Driscoll pueden tener un intérprete sin costo alguno para ellos.

Si necesita un intérprete en Driscoll
Puede hacer la solicitud para un intérprete un paciente y la familia, personal del hospital Driscoll o el proveedor de atención médica. Contamos con intérpretes de planta de jornada completa aquí para servirle del lunes al viernes de 7: 00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m. En los días festivos los intérpretes están disponibles de 8: 00 a.m. a 5: 00 p.m.
Las llamadas a nuestro departamento al (361) 694-5811 para solicitar un intérprete, programar una cita, o para obtener más información serán siempre bienvenidas. Además, durante las horas de trabajo estamos siempre disponibles a través de beeper. Pacientes y familias pueden solicitar a un empleado de la unidad o proveedores de atención médica que llame a un intérprete.
¿Quiénes son los intérpretes de planta en el Hospital Pediátrico Driscoll?
DCH tiene varios intérpretes de planta de diversos orígenes, hablan español y están familiarizados con la terminología médica tanto en español como en inglés. Cada uno es un profesional educado y con experiencia, que ha sido cuidadosamente seleccionado para proporcionar servicios de interpretación de calidad.
Necesidades de interpretación también se complementan con los servicios de agencias externas. Para otros idiomas a parte del español, o si un intérprete de planta no está disponible, el personal del hospital puede llamar a Pacific Interpreters, una agencia de interpretación por teléfono. (Para obtener más información acerca de este servicio, póngase en contacto con nosotros.) Para el lenguaje de señas americano (ASL), tenemos un contrato con el centro de sordos en Corpus Christi, y los intérpretes de ASL están disponibles 24 horas al día (se recomienda el preaviso de 24 horas).
