Higiene de las Manos
Lavarse las manos correctamente es una forma fácil de ayudar a evitar enfermarse.¿Por qué lavarse?
Los gérmenes se ocultan en todas partes - manijas de puertas, manijas de grifos, controles remotos y cualquier superficie que la gente toque.
- "En los Estados Unidos, los pacientes de hospital se contagian con casi dos millones de infecciones cada año. Es una infección por cada 20 pacientes!" (Fundación de Centros para el Control y Prevención de Enfermedades).
¿Cuándo lavarse?
- Antes y después de comer
- Antes de dar medicamentos
- Después de usar el baño o de cambiar pañales
- Después de tocar llagas, cortes o áreas infectadas
- Después de jugar con cualquier animal
- Después de jugar/trabajar a la intemperie
- Después de toser, estornudar o sonarse
¿Cómo lavarse?
- Humedezca sus manos con agua limpia.
- Aplique jabón.
- Frote las manos juntas vigorosamente y refriegue todas las superficies.
- Refriegue durante 15 segundos (tratar de cantar Twinkle Twinkle Little Star).
- Enjuague con agua limpia.
- Seque las manos.
¿Qué sucede si no puedo lavar?
Si las manos no están visiblemente sucias, utilice un desinfectante de manos a base de alcohol, sin agua en los ingredientes.
- Aplicar una cantidad del tamaño de una moneda pequeña de desinfectante de mano sin agua en los ingredientes.
- Frotar las manos juntas refregando todas las superficies de las manos y dedos.
- Frotar hasta que las manos estén secas (generalmente unos 15 segundos).
