Physical Therapy (PT)
Physical therapists at Driscoll Children’s Hospital are healthcare professionals who provide care to children from prematurity to age 21. Physical therapists assist patients to develop, maintain and restore overall functional ability by improving gross motor skills, strength, balance and coordination.
Evaluation and treatment services include:
- Gross motor development
- Seating and mobility equipment
- Sensory integration
- Gait training (walking)
- Wound care
- Serial casting/transitional orthotics
- Sports rehabilitation
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation
- Bariatric rehabilitation
