CORPUS CHRISTI – The 26th annual Pediatric Conference, sponsored by Driscoll Health System, offers physicians a chance to stay up to date with the latest information in pediatric sub-specialties and to reacquaint themselves with old friends.
The event will be held July 26-27 at the Omni Bayfront Hotel. Driscoll Children’s Hospital physicians and others will be among the event speakers. The conference is open to pediatric physicians, resident physicians, nurses, advanced practice professionals, medical students and public health professionals.
The conference will focus on the many challenges involved in the clinical care of children. Conference topics were selected based on educational needs determined from identified professional practice gaps, derived from conference evaluations in previous years.
The event also features a Driscoll Children’s Hospital Alumni Reception on Friday, July 26. The reception is a highlight of the conference because it has become a reunion for many alumni of Driscoll Children’s Hospital Residency Training Program. Driscoll encourages alumni to attend the annual conference.
Guest speaker will be Keith J. Mann, MD, M.Ed., Vice President of Continuing Education at the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Alumni speaker will be Pediatric Pulmonologist Ricardo Mosquera, MD.
