Driscoll cancer patients enjoy 27th annual fishing trip

The Chemo Kids Fish Off is an annual excursion that allows cancer patients at Driscoll Children’s Hospital to take their minds off chemotherapy and enjoy a morning of fishing. This year’s event took place Tuesday, June 4, from the Redfish Bay Boathouse in Aransas Pass. Nearly 20 children rode in boats driven by fishing guides who donated their time. After fishing, trophies were awarded to the children in various categories, from biggest fish, to weirdest fish, to most pounds of fish caught.
