Driscoll holds 41st reunion for former NICU patients
Hospital hosted its 41st annual NICU Reunion on Saturday, Oct. 19. The fun afternoon was held in the
Driscoll Health Center parking lot, where past NICU patients and their families
enjoyed face painting, moonwalks, pumpkin designing, games, food and more.
Many came dressed in
the holiday spirit, sporting Halloween costumes and festive shirts. This event
is a special time for patients and their families because it gives them a
chance to reconnect with the Driscoll nurses and employees.
“Because many NICU patients spend several days to months in our Level IV NICU, strong bonds are formed between the staff and our families,” said Evelyn Ferrer, MPA, HCA, Director of Patient Relations. “In past years, more than 300 people have attended this annual event that serves as a way to meet up with old friends and celebrate milestones and successes of each and every one of our kids.”
