A group of Driscoll Children’s Hospital residents have recaptured the coveted Jacobi Jug in the annual “Jeopardy”-style contest held in conjunction with the recent Texas Pediatric Society annual meeting in Austin.

Driscoll’s team members also won the title in 2016 and were co-champions in 2017.

Members of the Driscoll team are Neha Garg, MD, Rebecca Kim, MD, Ramya Ramachandra, MD, and Malarvizhi Thangavelu, MD.

“We continue to be very proud of the capabilities of our residents as they have stood out every year in the state competition and feel honored to be part of their medical education,” said Eric Baggerman, MD, Director of Medical Education at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

Ten teams from various pediatric residency programs from throughout Texas participated in the competition for the jug, named after Abraham Jacobi, who opened the first children’s clinic in the United States. The event was held Sept. 21.
