CORPUS CHRISTI – Douglas Myers, MBA, CPA, has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Driscoll Health System. At Driscoll, Myers will be responsible for all financial aspects of both the hospital and Driscoll Health Plan. He will help monitor and implement strategic business plans, as well as develop performance measures and monitoring systems that support Driscoll Health System’s strategic direction.
Myers has served as Chief Financial Officer for several institutions, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and the Children’s National Health System.
“I have worked at for-profit and not-for-profit adult hospitals in my career, but nothing comes close to the mission and critical work performed at children’s hospitals. I feel great pride in the work we do and it is felt everywhere in the community. I came here because of the vision of more care for more kids, and the strategy of making that happen,” said Myers.
He is a 2015 graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Myers received his MBA from Loyola College in 1990 and his BBA in Accounting from Youngstown State University in 1983. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1985.
Myers is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
