Love’s Travel Stops store employees recently wrapped up a five-week campaign, raising $25,656 for Driscoll Children’s Hospital, South Texas’ Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Love’s Travel Stops in Three Rivers, Kingsville and Edinburg were the locations that specifically raised money for Driscoll.
More than 390 stores in 40 states participated in the national campaign that raised a record $2.53 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Since 1998, Love’s has raised more than $17.5 million for the nonprofit.
“Love’s Travel Stops has been one of our longtime Children’s Miracle Network sponsors for many years, and each year the staff and management team get very involved during the five-week miracle balloon campaign. Some of the stores have raffles, talent shows and outside food sales to help raise their totals,” said Richard Harris, Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator for Driscoll Children’s Hospital.
“The Love’s locations on a year-round basis donate the funds from the air pumps at each location to the local CMNH hospital in the area the store is closest to,” said Harris. “We appreciate the commitment and continued support from the Love’s family, who have supported all the CMNH hospitals throughout the country where they have Love’s stores.”
