Nephrology (Kidney)

What We Do

Our pediatric nephrologists have a long tradition of providing care to children from all over South Texas with clinics serving communities in Corpus Christi, Victoria, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley.

We are committed to bringing our expertise and providing high-quality care to the diverse populations of South Texas closer to the homes of our patients and their families. We take pride in giving our patients and families the individualized attention they deserve.

Maternal Fetal Medicine

Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of women with complications of pregnancy, pre-existing medical conditions which may be impacted by pregnancy and medical conditions which impact the pregnancy itself. Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists collaborate with obstetricians in providing consultations, co-management or direct care for patients with complications both before (preconceptional counseling) and during pregnancy.

Infectious Diseases

Fighting infectious diseases today is much easier than in the past. With proper hygiene and proper precautions, in addition to numerous vaccines and rapidly advancing medical technology, people are better equipped than ever to avoid getting sick.

We provide:

Our geneticist’s primary expertise as a subspecialist is in childhood genetic disease, evaluating children with growth or learning differences, developmental disabilities, syndromes and, to some extent, metabolic disease. This also extends to reproductive medicine in conjunction with Driscoll’s maternal fetal medicine specialists. We conduct full genetic evaluation with medical and family history, physical, review of laboratory results and then discussion of genetic testing options.
