Physical Therapy

Physical therapists at Driscoll Children's Hospital are healthcare professionals who provide care to children from prematurity to age 21. Physical therapists assist patients to develop, maintain and restore overall functional ability by improving gross motor skills, strength, balance and coordination.

Pediatric Sports and Orthopedic Physical Therapy at the Rehabilitation Center

Evaluation and treatment services include:

  • Seating and mobility equipment
  • Sensory integration
  • Gait training (walking)
  • Aquatics
  • Wound care
  • Serial casting/transitional orthotics
  • Sports rehabilitation
  • Pelvic floor rehabilitation

From January 2020 to December 2020, Physical Therapy provided care to 614 patients from a variety of backgrounds.
